1) What if my condition isnt' specified on the list?
While your condition may not be specifically listed, chronic pain is on this list and covers a wide variety of conditions.
Keep in mind, many of them do require prior consultation with a Pain Management Specialist.
2) Can an unregistered doctor provide a prescription?
Under the State of Pennsylvania's current regulations that is not permitted. All care providers must be registered with the state.
3) Can you purchase a gun if you are presribed medicinal cannabis?
According to the current law, you may not purchase a gun if you are a regiestered MMJ patient. There is no given plan or idea by the State of Pennsylvania with respect to any gun ownership secured prior to becoming a medical marijuana patient.
4) Do I have to have an access card?
Yes, the Pennsylvania Department of Health issues an access card to qualifying patients who have been certified by a certified medical marijuana professional. Once that process opens for the Department of Health, which should be within the next few months, Trident will work with patients to complete thier certification and to get their access card from the state. Once a patient receives thier card, a Trident patient consultant will continue to coordinate with each patient on their continuing care and prescriptions (initial and refills.)
5) What about children

6) What if I have to take a drug test?
This aspect of the law is still under development. Certain jobs wil have to develop medication standards,
but as with any medication
that could impact an employee's performance, the wmployee would
need to check with their employee handbook and any HR materials on this issue.
